Your use of silk reminds my of my college jewellery tutor Jan, she uses flashes of red silk in her work ( http://www.jan-hinchliffe.co.uk/ ). This appeals to me as I hated metalwork at uni, and I was always trying to incorporate textiles or textile techniques somehow to lessen the pain, lol!
Thanks for the link to Jan's work, really strong pieces. I seem to sneak back to textile techniques quite often too, I love working in metal, but I really like how instant working with textile is.
I thought it was about time for a splash of colour, I used oxidised silver and red silk thread to make this bracelet.
