Day 20

Some more Gothic images today, this time for a necklace, made with silver chain and hand drawn images on plastic.

Day 19

And another ring,  with the same theme of the simple black drawing on white.
These rings are taking on a life of their own, each one larger than the last, and the drawing more elaborate.

Day 18

Another ring for the new collection.

I'm really drawn to  irregular shapes when I'm designing these rings,  as though the plastic 'gem' is a fragment of something discovered, and I love the simplicity and stark contrast of the black and white.

A little green brooch pin is my item for today, made with the fabulous shrinking plastic of course, and sterling silver for the pin.

Day 16

I just cant resist that shrinking plastic! Here is another ring made using a hand drawn pattern on plastic with a matte silver shank and setting.

Day 15

Knowing that I have to post a new piece of work on this blog every day is certainly helping with my productivity, Just pass me another coffee/pro plus/red bull, and I can make it to 2 am again !

Another addition to the Rosemary wreath range was completed today. I used some tiny rice pearls in this necklace, they give it a delicate look and it looks so pretty when worn.

Day 14

I'm loving this shrinking plastic! I bought a pack of it about a year ago and have only just got round to experimenting with it thanks to my make a piece a day challenge.
For today's piece I've drawn an ornate vintage pattern onto an irregular shape and set it as a 'gem' in a silver ring which has been oxidised.

Day 13

An experiment with some shrinking plastic. I've never used this plastic before, but love the idea of using  drawings in my jewellery so literally.

Day 12

Nothing goes to waste these days.  I'm always on the lookout for inspiration or materials to make my daily wearable item!
This necklace was made from the trimmings of a fringe curtain used in a window display from the shop I work in. I just couldn't put it in the bin!

I've added some gold chain and some beads to create this necklace.
